No matter where we come from or how we vote, we all want the same things:
good jobs, strong schools, safe communities, and a government that puts people first.
Policy Priorities
Today as the federal government withdraws support from essential programs, and special interests drown out the voices of everyday citizens, the well-being and future of our communities are being threatened. But I believe that this is Michigan’s opportunity to lead the way. I am committed to working across the aisle to invest in our workforce, protect and strengthen public education, ensure our working families have a pathway to home ownership in the communities they love, and bring real transparency to our political system. Together, we can put people over politics and build a brighter future for every Michigander.
Jobs & the Economy
A strong economy starts with good-paying jobs that allow families to thrive. I believe in investing in Michigan’s workforce – creating opportunities in skilled trades, manufacturing, technology, and green industries. Unfortunately, we can’t rely on federal support or investment. It’s more important than ever that Michigan steps up to attract new industries, support small businesses, and ensure that every worker has a pathway to a secure future.
Education
Our children deserve the very best. As a parent with four children who attend, or will attend, public schools, I know that public education is the heart of our entire community. We are proud to live in a district with some of the best schools in the country. But public education is under attack. While federal and state leaders have slashed education funding, I will fight to prioritize schools – ensuring our classrooms are fully funded, our teachers are supported, and every child has access to a world-class education close to home.
Housing Crisis
Housing is the foundation of strong communities and thriving families. Today, too many Michiganders are priced out of safe, stable housing, especially our younger generations who are just starting out and do not see a pathway to home ownership. I will work to expand pathways to housing, streamline development and make sure that every family has a place to call home. A healthy housing market strengthens the economy, supports our schools and builds a future where everyone can succeed.
Campaign Finance Reform
Our government should work for the people – not special interests. I support common-sense campaign finance reform that increases transparency, limits the influence of big money and puts voters first. Michiganders deserve elected officials who are accountable to their communities, not corporations or political insiders.
